Powerflex Round Slings
Powerflex Round Slings are Amick's high-performance lifting slings, engineered for applications where maximum strength and minimum weight are critical. Built with Spectra fiber — an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (HMPE) — Powerflex slings deliver dramatically higher lifting capacities at a fraction of the weight of comparable wire rope or chain slings.
Spectra fiber provides several advantages over standard polyester round slings: significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio, lower elongation for more precise load positioning, and excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals, and UV exposure. Powerflex slings are available in capacities up to 300,000 lbs, making them suitable for the most demanding heavy lifts.
Like all round slings, the Powerflex design features continuous loops of load-bearing fiber encased in a protective outer jacket. The jacket shields the core fibers from abrasion, dirt, and environmental exposure while providing a soft, non-marring surface that protects finished loads during lifting.

Type
High-performance endless round slings. Spectra (HMPE) fiber core with protective polyester jacket. Capacities up to 300,000 lbs.
Applications
Heavy industrial lifting, construction, bridge work, energy, and petrochemical operations. Ideal for lifts where the strength of wire rope is needed but with significantly less weight and greater flexibility. The non-marring jacket makes Powerflex slings suitable for lifting finished or delicate equipment where surface protection is important.
Exceptions
Temperature limits for Spectra/HMPE round slings differ from standard polyester — HMPE fibers begin to lose strength at lower temperatures than polyester. Consult Amick for specific temperature ratings for Powerflex slings before use in elevated temperature environments. Standard polyester round sling limits of 194°F (90°C) do NOT apply to HMPE products — the actual limit is typically lower. Do not use on loads with sharp edges without proper sling protection. Remove from service if the outer jacket is cut and inner core fibers are exposed.
